Key milestones

1990's

Tempus Computers Ltd founded

Early 1990’s. First occupational health software system designed in partnership with Sandwell NHS Trust with 25 clients using this product.

1998

First Windows version of Cohort created

Created in 1998, written in Fox Pro.

2002

Cohort SQL version launched in 2002

First live site being St Bart’s Hospital in London. Now with 380 organisations using the system.

First non NHS customer acquired 2002

BNFL – British Nuclear Fuels

2012

Tempus software acquired by Medgate Inc. (now Cority) in February 2012

Acquisition provides support for increased global offering in new markets. New customers including the likes of Air New Zealand and Department of Health and Human Services Tasmania, and AMS Group amongst others.

2014

Cohort wins HSJ Healthcare Leaders Award 2014

Cohort web based version launched February 2016

2017

New Accreditations

ISO27001 achieved in June 2016 and PSN Compliance and Excel in 2017. Working towards achieving Cyber Essentials Plus.

Operations now

380 plus unique customers, over 7000 plus users daily, 52% market share of all  NHS Trusts across UK. Portfolio of commercial brands using the Cohort system growing with names including PepsiCo, Morrisons, Tesco and Oxford University amongst others.
